Update to 1.12!


What’s Changed

1.12.0

Nerf Occultist to restrict its power when Elite or Ultra. Restrict Prism and Mesmerist “fascinate”-type effects to only function while the source of the effect is within Line of Sight. Lightly revise Hatchet for Elite/Ultra purposes, and bring its optional reactions up to date. Lightly nerf Anchor’s Lodestone area and swap its Siege Armor for forced movement resistance. Rework Brigand’s Vandalize feature. Clean up unintended Zealot and Knight interactions.

Anchor

Anchor Tactics

  • Revised to reflect the addition of Ponderous.

Lodestone

  • Reduce size of Burst from 3 to 2.

Siege Armor

  • BREAKING: Removed, replaced with Ponderous.

Ponderous

  • New trait that halves any hostile push, pull, or knockback inflicted on the Anchor.

Hatchet

Flip Kick

  • Change from 1/round to 1/turn to facilitate multi-turn and off-turn retrievals.

Reckless Dive

This ability was designed for an older version of the Hatchet, when it was more likely to have a Thrown weapon when it wasn’t its turn. The changes below rework the ability to key off of Cleaving Retrieval instead of an attack.

  • Change trigger to “A hostile character adjacent to one of the Hatchet’s THROWN weapons damages the Hatchet.”
  • Change to immediately activate Cleaving Retrieval, and to grant Resistance if it forces a save from the attacker.

Return to Sender

Revisiting this optional feature, it’s incredibly strong to completely negate an action on a 1/round basis, even if it’s a 50/50 chance. Therefore, I restrict its usage while increasing its reliability.

  • Change 1/round tag to 1/scene.
  • Remove 1d6 roll; instead have the reaction always work.

Kensei

Mass Driver Sheathe

  • Clarify that incoming push, pull, and knockback is halved (thus rounded up) instead of being reduced by half (where the reduction may be interpreted as “rounded up” instead).

Knight

Evergaol (Ultra)

  • Make the Gaol Seal immovable.
  • Reword to make clear multiple duel opponents can be affected by the Gaol Seal.

Mesmerist

NARCISSUS Override

  • Only allow the on-hit effect to function while the Mesmerist is within the target’s line of sight.

Occultist

FLOCK Drones

  • Add 2 Heat (Self) tag.
  • Clarify Heat to enemies is applied after their action (not before or during).

Reap the Chaff

  • Restrict to Drones and Grunts not deployed this round.

Harvest Pyres

  • Add 1/round tag.
  • Reword from Burst to simple adjacency.
  • Reduce Burn from 3/4/5 to 2/3/4.

Call From Below

  • Clarify the save is against the Occultist’s Save Target.

Doubling Season

  • Add 1 Heat cost to deploying the FLOCK Drone.

Prism

Diffraction Beam

  • Remove innate Accuracy.
  • Reduce Burst 2 ranged option to Burst 1.
  • Increase damage from 5/7/9 to 6/8/10.
  • Change so that the Line of Sight restriction only applies while the Prism is within line of sight.
  • Remove clause that allows the weapon to be AP through a Projector.

Zealot

Zeal

  • Restrict to non-Drone allies.

Fanatical Charge

  • Reword to only affect allies affected by Zeal (i.e., non-Drone allies).

Undying Faith (Ultra)

  • Prevent this trait from working on allies with the Zeal feature.

Templates

Brigand

Vandalize

  • Rework to be a Full Action that can be taken against a grappled target while in control of the grapple, and force destruction of one of the target’s weapon mounts depending on the result of a contested Hull check.
